| Abstract: | Quality of Pathumthani1 in paddy and milled rice storage was conducted at Pathumthani Rice Research Center during February 2005-February 2006. At ambient temperature, the 600 kg. of paddy on cement floor and 1 ton of milled rice in plastic bag were investigated. The result shown that, moisture content and milling quality are fluctuated depend on stored insect infestation. The milled rice color, a and b value, was increased, thus whiteness of milled rice decreased. The fat acidity was increased during 12 months. The stored insect are Rhyzopertha dominica, Sitophillus spp., Sitrotoga cerealella, Lophocateres pusillus, Oryzaephilus surinamensis, Cryptolestes spp. and Tribolium castaneum. |
