Abstract: Integrated technology for managing weedy rice in wet seeded rice production was conducted in farmer's field in dry season and wet season 2006 at Tambol Banglen, Nakhonprathom province. The main objective was to find the procedure to control and eliminate the weedy rice effectively in the irrigated area where the paddy field was planted continuously. By using the integrated technology to control and eliminate the weedy rice in seed production trial such as soil resting in dry condition for 4 weeks, soil preparation, using a good quality of seed, thiobencarb 320 g.ai/rai or oxadiazon 160 g.ai/rai (They were depended on each treatment), weedy rice stem or panicle cutting for 3 times (tillering, flowering and before harvesting) and the effective water management. The result was found that the weedy rice can be decreased by using the integrated technology namely, the weedy rice was found 55.7 panicles/square m (before the experiment) 1.39-1.70 panicles/square m (the first season) and 0.31-0.49 panicles/square m (the second season). The procedure of farmer's practice were resting the soil in dry condition for 4 weeks, using the herbicide and the weedy rice panicle cutting for 1 time. The weedy rice in farmer's practice was found 17.05 panicles/square m (the first season) and 12 panicles/square m (the second season). Therefore it was shown that the soil resting in dry condition namely, induction of weedy rice seeds to germinate then to eliminate it and the weedy rice cutting, were the way to solve the weedy rice problem including with the other technologies to be more effective. The integrated technology should be used continuously at least 4 seasons to prevent the weedy rice coming back again.
