| Abstract: | Rice gallmidge (RGM) is an insect pest that enormously damage rice in the north of Thailand. Research and development on management of rice gallmidge control should comprehensively studied. In 2008 rice gallmidges were collected from Phrae, Nan and Mae Hong Son and studied on their biotypes. Studies of resistant mechanism of rice varieties to RGM were undertaken i.e. antixennosis for oviposition, rice resistant reaction to RGM, found that rice varieties were different in their responses. It might have a difference in RGM biotypes collected from three provinces. Integrated RGM control management by using insecticides, Bt. microorganism and silica compound was also studied and found that there was no effective methods for controlling RGM. |
