Survey of internal parasites of adult native cattle from Amphur Sahasakhan Kalasin province

Abstract

March 2005, fecal samples of 236 adult native cattle from five districs of Amphur Sahasakhan, Kalasin Province were examined by simple floatation and simple sedimentation methods. There was 78.39 percent of infected cattle with various internal parasites including liver flukes (Fasciola spp.) 11.86 percent, rumen fluke 34.32 percent, strongylids 63.56 percent, Strongyloides papillosus 0.4 percent, Trichuris spp. 2.12 percent and unsporulated coccidian oocysts 3.81 percent respectively. Morever, there were 104 cattle (44.1 percent) which were infected with single parasite and 81 cattle (34.32 percent) were infected with multiple parasites.

ผลการตรวจอุจจาระโคโตเต็มวัย พันธุ์พื้นเมือง อายุตั้งแต่ 2 ปีขึ้นไป คละเพศ จำนวน 236 ตัวอย่าง จาก 5 ตำบลของอำเภอสหัสขันธ์ จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์ ในช่วงเดือนมีนาคม พ.ศ. 2548 โดยวิธีทำให้ไข่พยาธิลอยตัวอย่างง่าย และวิธีทำให้ไข่พยาธิตกตะกอนแบบธรรมดา พบว่า โคมีการติดพยาธิภายในร้อยละ 78.39 และจำนวนร้อยละของชนิดพยาธิที่พบในโคมีดังนี้ พยาธิใบไม้ตับ (Fasciola spp.) ร้อยละ 11.86 พยาธิใบไม้กระเพาะเอื้อง (rumen flukes) ร้อยละ 34.32 พยาธิกลุ่ม strongylids ร้อยละ 63.56 พยาธิเส้นด้าย (Strongyloides papillosus) ร้อยละ 0.4 พยาธิแส้ม้า (Trichuris spp.) ร้อยละ 2.12 และ unsporulated oocysts ของเชื้อบิด ร้อยละ 3.81 นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่ามีโคที่ติดพยาธิชนิดเดียว ร้อยละ 44.1 และโคที่ติดพยาธิหลายชนิด ร้อยละ 34.32
