| Abstract: | Study on milling recovery of Pathumthani 1(PTT1) Rice Variety was conducted at Pathum thani Rice Research Center in 2010. The objective was to investigate head rice yield of brown rice and milled rice relationship for moist paddy quality evaluation. The moist paddy of PTT1 from farmer field at 20 – 28% moisture content was sampled. After cleaning, 2 parts of cleaned paddy were divided. For the first part, head rice from brown rice was investigated. Another part, shade drying to 14% mc. head rice from milled rice was investigated. The result showed that the moist paddy at 20 – 25% mc. head rice from brown rice was related to head rice from milled rice, with r = 0.91** . However, the moist paddy, which high moisture content more than 25%, head rice from brown rice was fluctuate, so that the preliminary rapid drying method should be investigated. |
