| Abstract: | Bread wheat is temperate cereal which can be planted in the upper north as the following crops after paddy rice especially in the low temperature and restrict irrigated area. Only one variety of bread wheat that the farmers have grown is fang 60 so research and development on wheat varietal was conducted. Result from project we get 3 promising lines,
FNBW8301-5-5, PMPBWS89248 and FNBW8310-1-SMG-1-1-1. FNBW8301-5-5 and FNBW8310-1-SMG-1-1-1 were improved by Dr.Pattakul Chanthanamuttha at fang Horticulture Research Station in 1983. FNBW8301-5-5 was derived from single cross between KP1 and S-18-470
while FNBW8310-1-SMG-1-1-1 was derived from FNBWS#27 and FNBWS#1510. PMPBWS89248 was improved by Mr.Sutat Pintasen at Pang Ma Pah Rice and Temperate Cereals Experiment Station by selection promising lines from CIMMYT nurseries in 1989. |
