| Abstract: | In crop year 2009, the on-farm trials of new sweet corn hybrids were conducted in 4 farmers' fields in Nakhon Ratchasima, Lopburi, and Songkhla provinces during February-August, 2009, the objective was to investigate for their adaptability and yield potential in farmer's field. The trials were laid out in RCB with 3 replications, 14 entries. The result of combined analysis from 4 locations revealed that, KSSC 903 gave the highest yield of green ear, yellow ear and standard ear of 2,437 1,598 and 1,726 kg/rai, respectively, but not significant different from Hibrix 51, Sugar Max, KSSC 204, HC 02, Sugar 75, KSSC 604 and KSSC 605. KSSC 202 gave the lowest yield of green ear, yellow ear and standard ear of 1,192, 877 and 821 kg/rai, respectively. KSSC 236 had the highest sweetness of 15.6 percent brix, but not different significantly with Insee 2, that had 15.2 percent brix. |
